We are thrilled to announce Adam Taylor's debut solo exhibition with the gallery, Our Mountain.
Our Mountain is the artist’s latest body of work, representing a journey through dreamscapes devoid of human influence. The artist aims to capture empty worlds, initially painting with a brush and then using a rag to remove areas of the paint. This method pares down each piece to a minimal composition that aligns with their aesthetic vision.
In his work, a blue-green palette is often employed, evoking a vast sky—a canvas upon which brush marks are floated. This color choice not only represents the boundless nature of the sky but also serves as a foundation for introducing grids that bring order to otherwise dissonant worlds.
Our Mountain in this exhibition embodies both the physical influence of nature and the inherent struggle of the creative process. Each piece reflects the tension between natural inspiration and the disciplined effort required to bring these visions to life.
