&Gallery is pleased to host a one-off musical event which accompanies France’s solo exhibition, Unfixing. Music has played an important part in the development of Frances’s new body of abstract work. This will be a unique opportunity to view her solo exhibition accompanied by a live improvised soundscape which has been created by musician Simon Kirby in response to the exhibition.
Simon Kirby is Professor of Language Evolution at the University of Edinburgh, an independent artist, musician, and co-creator of Wavetable, a monthly experimental music event at Whitespace Edinburgh. More information about Simon can be found here.
The performance will begin at 2:15pm and will last approximately 20 minutes.
The event is free however booking is essential.
The gallery will be open until 5pm to view the exhibition and chat with the artist.
