"i’m really hoping now to curb my nomadic tendencies and remain in the same place for a few years – i'm curious to see how this might affect my practice. what i love most about this new space is the silence here, and the sense of calm. it encourages me to work at a slower pace and i think this is a good thing."

  • "I love everything about this piece and the neutral palette.I remember so clearly how beautiful the light was as I was painting each line, one by one. Life was calm and I felt I was in the right place"

By The Woods will be exhibited in this years Winter Annual Exhibition.

  • "The collage work has always been my starting point for a painting... like a sketch or study. This part of the process is the most creative. In answer to your question of whether the new collage style has changed my paintings, I would say yes and no.. I still very much enjoy the transcription from small collage to a large canvas but what I feel is changing is the way I work with the application of paint onto the surface."
