Points of Encounter

5 - 30 September 2026

We are thrilled to announce our third Open Call Exhibition, Points of Encounter.

Following an international open call, we have selected 42 exceptional artists from a diverse and highly talented field of applicants.

The exhibition celebrates artists with distinctive creative practices, including many who will be exhibiting in Scotland for the first time. Points of Encounter offers an opportunity to discover new voices in contemporary art while extending beyond our established annual exhibition programme.

Bringing together artists from across the globe, Points of Encounter celebrates the unexpected connections that emerge between different materials, processes and perspectives. While each artist brings a distinctive visual language, together the works form a rich dialogue across contemporary practice. Working across ceramics, painting, sculpture, collage, assemblage, glass, drawing, printmaking, photography and mixed media, the exhibition reflects the breadth and diversity of contemporary artistic practice.

We look forward to welcoming these outstanding artists to the gallery this September.
