Paper Trails brings together new works on paper by a selection of &Gallery artists working across painting, printmaking, ceramics, and sculpture. The exhibition highlights the many ways artists engage with this versatile and enduring medium.
Through varied approaches, the works trace the movement of thought into form. Some artists approach the sheet as a stage for gesture and mark-making, while others treat it as a sculptural surface—folded, pressed, or built upon.
The exhibition presents works that embody both the immediacy and precision of paper, a medium that offers some artists a space to experiment while serving as a central surface for others. Despite their different approaches, the artists share a commitment to process and material, with marks, impressions, and layers capturing the unfolding of creative decisions and a subtle dialogue with the material itself.
Paper Trails invites viewers to see paper not as a preliminary support but as a site of finished, vital expression—where thought and material converge in their most direct form.
